Overview

Cycling with an electric mountain bike, all around the Etna, from South to North-east with your relaxed pace. The landscapes and the emotions that you have to expect from this “travel” are breathtaking and even for the guides is a particular moment. The local certified tour guide will tell you about the volcanology, geology, and the history of the area.

Cycle with e-MTBikes for 40 km off road, all around the Volcano Etna, an amazing journey immersed into the wild.

Jump off the Mountain bike and visit some lava caves



Find one of the refuges into the wild, make a breack with the fire on

Cycle carefully inbetween the craters of a “Bottoniera”

Spot the animals who lives in the north-west area



Enjoy some single tracks of medium level difficulty

Taste a traditional snack taken by the guide

Learn a bit of Geology and Volcanology of Etna and some history of Sicily with the certified Guide.



Cycle down around 35km through the old villages of Etna to complete the trip. Stop to a farm or a winery on request.

Full Trip Porgram



Departure from Etna south, early in the morning. The track will go up and down from 1900 to 1600mo.s.l.

Stop around noon for a snack at one of the beautiful refuges along the track. Just some rest and ready to go to complete the off-road track. This 50% of the trip will be on a natural panoramic natural off-road track (around 40km).

Another quick stop, before starting the second part of the trip. This consists of a tour of the tiny little villages on the west side of Etna (around 40km), cycling down mainly. The duration of the trip depends on the participants cycling pace but is always useful to take into consideration to finish in the afternoon.

On request is possible to do only the off-road track part (40 km) and then have a transfer to the base.

Overnight on a Shelter on Etna

In order to make your experience this trip even more adventurous, ask a 24h cycling trip. Same track same bikes, but with the chance to enjoy a sky full of stars in the light pollution free sky of Etna. Overnight inside a refuge of Etna with barbecue on the chimney. We provide all the necessary equipment as sleeping bag and airbed.

Only off-road (just 40km)

In alternative to the full itinerary, we can organize the pick up at the end of the off-road track, so you will do only 40km instead of 80km avoiding the trip through the villages.
